Tunics 2011 – Fashion Trends

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Tunics 2011 – Fashion Trends.

Several thousands years ago, in ancient Rome, the tunic as the baggy clothing of the simplest tailoring, with cut outs for hands and the head, equally appropriate for men and women. The designer tunics of today are not like the old versions of tunics in regards to length. Today trendy tunics successfully complement the ensembles in casual style and the business-like wear as well finding its place in seasonal collections of fashion houses. Light and feminine tunics in boho style are the best for warm spring and summers season, though by the collections of autumn-winter 2010-2011 show, fashion designers do not plan to refuse this garment of women wear when creating collections for the autumn wear.

Tunics in autumn-winter collections 2010-2011 are highly demanded and it is reasonable since designers offered multi-layered garments and loose tunic from jersey or wool can be happily used as the element of the ensemble. The vital component of such multi-layered ensembles is the tunic. So, the designer Richard Nicoll demonstrated incredibly comfortable ensembles of supple and calm shades when matching the jersey tunic with the long and loose shirt and soft loose trousers. The image created is somewhat bohemian and exceptionally comfortable.

The stylish tunics become the part of the autumn wardrobe in the collection by Salvatore Ferragamo. His tunics are accentuated with the wide unique belts to complement autumn trousers and long shorts. This season the designer duet Badgley Mischka offers to wear long tunics matched with leggings and shortened jacket with bat-sleeves. The ensembles of this style are presented in collections of autumn-winter 2010-2011 of Blumarine brand. The collection presents the same leggings matched with the tunic made from the brilliant glittering fabric decorated with the zebra prints of brighter colors. Multi-layer ensembles by Blumarine are highlighted with the shortened jacket and carelessly tied neck kerchief. The traditional match of leggings and tunics for the coming season is offered by Diane von Fürstenberg, either.

In the meantime, the fashion couple Paul & Joe replaced the leggings for warmer tights from wool with patterns to wear with tunics not dresses. The base of collection is long tunics casually girdled with belts on thigh and grabbing attention with flamboyant abstract prints. This autumn Donatella Versace offers to match tunics with long sleeves made from delicate and fine wool with the provocative mini skirts.

The collections by Issey Myake launch too traditional tunics which come as long and loose with short sleeves to perfectly match the tight trousers and ballerina shoes creating a line of ensemble in casual style. Karl Lagerfeld created the series for autumn-winter 2010-2011 for Fendi fashion house, making the tunic, the essential part of casual wardrobe, into the piece of ensemble worthy to mention and wear. He demonstrated incredibly beautiful and light tunics from glittering silk and satin. The designers for the brand Etro matched the glimpse of tunics from satin with the jackets and trousers from luxury brocade, making the ensemble the worth-while example of the evening wear. On the top of it, glittering silk tunics with the elegant embroidery are included in the autumn collection by the British designer Giles Deacon who perfectly launched the shine of the fabric with the simple tightly-close shortened trousers.

When making the wardrobe for the new seasons, the classic single-color tunic is the best choice. And few fashion designers made some attempts to decorate this garment with prints, including Moschino launching lepart-printed tunics, Blumarine presenting zebra stripes and Frankie Morello whose tunics are speckled with ironic mottos. On the whole, designers prefer single color or abstract prints as it is seen in collections by Issey Myake, Etro, Custo Barcelona, Marni and Diane von Fürstenber.
