Isaac Mizrahi is to launch an eyewear collection, which is set to reach stores in Fall 2012 according to WWD.
A licensing deal has been signed with B. Robinson to sell sunwear and eyewear from the Isaac Mizrahi and Isaac Mizrahi New York brands.
Sold in department and specialist stores across the globe, B. Robinson is one of the world’s most prestigious eye and sunwear companies.
“Nothing is more ‘instant style’ than the right eyewear. If it’s right, everything else will fall into place. I look forward to working with B. Robinson,” Mizrahi said.
2012 will also see the unveiling of French designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s debut eyewear line as he follows the likes of Donna Karan, Chanel, Prada, Ralph Lauren and Burberry by delving into the arena.
Gaultier has partnered with fellow countrymen Alain Mikli. Mikli has boutiques in destinations such as New York, Paris, as well as numerous outlets across the globe.
Retailing for between $285 and $400, the line includes 12 eyeglasses and eight sunglasses, and will be available in Mikli boutiques as of January.
